To run the network reßector loopback test:
1. From the Loopback Tests menu, choose Run Network Reflector
Loopback.
2. Make a video call to a far-end site.
3. Make sure that the image from your camera source is displayed on
the full screen.
4. Tap gently on the microphone or speak into it.
If you donÕt see the video image displayed or you canÕt hear
sound, continue with the next step.
5. Verify that all cable connections are correct and are securely in
place.
The following table lists some of the results that can occur when you
run the Network Reßector Loopback test, and what they indicate.
Network Reflector
Loopback Test Result
No image appears on
the monitor and no
sound is heard from
the speakers.
Image is displayed and
sound is heard at near-
end site, but not at far-
end site or vice versa.
Image is displayed and
sound is heard at both
near-end and far-end
site, but you canÕt
make calls to each
other.
Possible Problem
Hardware component failure. Run
Hardware Self-Tests described earlier
in this chapter.
May be a network or vendor
interoperability problem. Contact your
network provider if you suspect a
network problem. Contact your
PictureTel service provider to help you
determine if the far-end equipment
supports the ITU-T H.320
videoconferencing interoperability
standard.
May be a rate adaption problem.
