Adjusting the
System Video
Levels
protocols. The following table lists the available choices for G.711
encoding.
Setting
µ
Sets the preferred mode for calling in North
-law
America and some parts of Japan. Typically, most
countries using the NTSC video standards use µ-
law. To determine if this law applies to your site,
ask your network provider.
A-law
Sets the preferred mode for calling in most
European countries. Typically, most countries
using the PAL video standards use A-law. To
determine if this law applies to your site, ask
your network provider.
To set the G.711 encoding:
1. From the Audio Configuration menu, choose Set Initial G.711
Encoding.
A pop-up window appears, listing the choices.
2. Choose the desired setting and press ENTER .
The current setting appears.
This section describes how to use the color bars to adjust your
systemÕs video.
You can adjust the hue, color, contrast, and brightness of your
monitor using the color bars any time the system is on and a call is
not in progress. In most cases, you can keep your monitor at the
factory default settings. However, since monitors may vary, you
should adjust your monitor as necessary to produce the best video
for your environment.
For speciÞc instructions on how to adjust your monitor, refer to the
manual provided with your monitor.
