Setting the Direct T1 Data Rate
The
option sets the rate at which data is transmitted
Set Data Rate
over the network. The rate is measured in kilobits per second (kbps).
The choices for unrestricted rates are:
64 kbps
128 kbps
192 kbps
256 kbps
320 kbps
384 kbps
512 kbps
768 kbps
1152 kbps
1472 kbps
1536 kbps
Restricted rates are also available in 56k increments.
Setting the Direct T1 Timing Mode
The
option lets you specify the source of timing.

Proper operation of a T1 network requires a single source of timing.
Choose
to specify the Venue¥2000 as the timing source.

Setting the Direct T1 Line Coding
The
option sets the line coding technique. This lets

you specify how the data is electrically formatted for transmission.
The choices are:
(Bipolar 8 Zero Substitution)
B8ZS
(Alternate Mark Inversion)
AMI
In AMI format, successive ones (marks) are alternately inverted
(sent with polarity opposite that of the preceding mark). Rather than
inserting a one for every seven consecutive zeros, B8ZS inserts two
violations of the bipolar line encoding technique for digital
transmission links.
