Running a Full Self-Test

Testing Hardware Modules

Test subsystems vital to the
system
Test the video hardware
Test the audio processor board
Test one or all of the network
interface boards

If you want to test all of the hardware components of your system,
run a full self-test. Depending on your systemÕs conÞguration, the
quick test takes approximately three minutes and the extended test
takes approximately Þve minutes.
To run a full self-test:
Choose Run Full Self-Test from the Self-Tests menu.
When the test is complete, the Self-Tests results screen appears.
Test results can be either OK or Defective. If the test indicates a
defective component, call your PictureTel service provider. See
the ÒDisplaying Self-Test ResultsÓ section later in this chapter
for more information.
If you suspect a problem with a particular hardware component,
you can run a test on that speciÞc component. The Hardware
Module Self-Tests menu appears when you choose
from the Self-Tests menu.
