Saving a Directory to a Diskette

You may want to save a copy of the Dialing Directory to a diskette
to keep as a backup or to load onto another system.
To save a Dialing Directory to a diskette:
1. Insert a PC-formatted diskette into the diskette drive.
If you attempt to save a directory to a diskette that already

contains a directory, you are asked if you want to overwrite
the directory on the diskette.
2. From the Dialing Directory Setup menu, choose Save Directory to
Diskette.
The system veriÞes that there is enough room on the diskette
and, if so, copies the Dialing Directory to the diskette. The
Dialing Directory is named DIALING.DIR.
You may Þnd it easier to create and edit your Dialing Directories on
a PC. You can work with Dialing Directories in a variety of PC
software programs.
To save the Dialing Directory to a PC-formatted diskette, follow the
instructions in the previous section, ÒSaving a Directory to a
Diskette.Ó
The following example shows the format of a typical Dialing
Directory.

"Boston", 123, 0, 1, 1, 2, "5553421", "5553421" //Home office
"Chicago", 124, 0, 1, 1, 1, "6664890" // Sales office
You must place a comma between each Þeld in the Dialing
