Setting
G.722-56
Provides an audio quality that has about twice the
clarity of an ordinary telephone, or 7.0 kHz
bandwidth. This method of transmission uses 56
kbps of bandwidth and enables the best audio
quality at higher transmission rates, such as 384
kbps.
G.722-48
Provides an audio quality that has about twice the
clarity of an ordinary telephone, or 7.0 kHz
bandwidth. This method of transmission uses 48
kbps of bandwidth and enables better audio
quality than G.711 and G.728 at lower
transmission rates, such as 128 kbps.
G.728
Provides an audio quality comparable to that of
an ordinary telephone. This method of
transmission uses only 16 kbps of bandwidth,
leaving more bits to be used for video
transmission.
PT724
This PictureTel proprietary audio transmission
method provides 7.0 kHz quality and only
consumes 8 kbps more bandwidth than G.728. It
provides signiÞcantly higher audio quality Ñ
twice the clarity of an ordinary telephone Ñ using
only 24 kbps of bandwidth.
To set the audio transmission format:
1. From the Audio Configuration menu, choose Set Audio Format.
A pop-up window appears, listing the choices.
2. Choose the desired format and press ENTER .
The current setting appears.
When you choose
Set Audio Processing
menu, you see a menu similar to the following one, depending on
the options you have installed:
