Check the cable from the electronics module to the
microphone.
Check the volume on the monitor.
If all cable connections are secured, you may have a hardware
component failure. Run the hardware self-tests described earlier
in this chapter to further isolate the problem.
If the hardware tests pass, there may be a problem with the
network. Choose the
described next, to further isolate the problem.
When you run the Network Reßector Loopback test, the audio and
video signals from your system are displayed and sounded on your
local monitor after they are looped through the network interface
board at your site. This test veriÞes the operation of the near-end
components and cables, the codec, the H.320 multiplexer, and the
network interface board. This test also loops data back to the far-end
site and can be used to verify operation of the far-end equipment.
When the Venue¥2000 is in this mode, it can serve as a remote
loopback device and help in the testing of the far-end equipment
and the network connection between the sites.
Run this test if you are having a problem calling a particular site.
Note: You must place a call after you start this test to see the
results.
