Saving the Configuration Settings to a Diskette
Once you conÞgure your system, you may want to save the
conÞguration settings to a diskette. Then, you will always have a
copy of your systemÕs settings that you can restore in the event they
get changed. Any setting that you can change gets saved, not just the
default settings.
To save conÞguration settings to a diskette:
1. Insert a blank, formatted PC diskette into the diskette drive.
If the diskette already contains conÞguration settings, they will
be overwritten.
2. From the Save or Restore Settings menu, choose Save
Configuration to Diskette.
The following message appears:
configuration items to diskette.
3. Press ENTER to save the configuration settings to the diskette.
The current conÞguration settings are saved to the diskette.
Restoring the Configuration Settings from a Diskette
If you saved your conÞguration settings to a diskette, you can
restore them to the Venue¥2000. You may Þnd that you changed a
setting that caused unexpected results and you want to revert to the
previous settings. Also, when you upgrade software, you can
restore your systemÕs settings so you donÕt have to reconÞgure your
system.
To restore conÞguration settings from a diskette:
1. Insert the diskette that contains the configuration settings into the
diskette drive.
2. From the Save or Restore Settings menu, choose Restore
Configuration from Diskette.
The following message appears:
configuration items to values from diskette.
3. Press ENTER to restore the configuration settings.
The conÞguration settings from the diskette replace the
conÞguration settings on the videoconferencing system.
