The following table describes the information on the Network
Statistics screen.
Description
The rate at which
information passes
through the network.
The number of
submultiframes (SMFs)
transmitted.
The number of
submultiframes (SMFs)
received.
The number of times the
frame alignment signal
has not been received as
expected.
Interpretation
This number can help you identify
channel connection problems. For
example, if you are expecting a
two-channel call and you see that
the Network Statistics screen
shows no data on Channel 2, you
can isolate the problem to that
channel.
If this number does not increase
regularly, there could be a problem
with the near-end encoder or the
network.
If this number does not increase
regularly, there could be a problem
with the far-end encoder or the
network.
Usually this count, which indicates
the integrity of the end-to-end
connection, increments by one at
the end of a call or when a far-end
loopback test is initiated.
Any other change in this counter
indicates a failure of the
transmission line, or less
frequently, a CSU problem.
