When you upgrade your software from a previous release,
the system automatically saves your conÞguration settings
to system software Diskette 1. Once you restore your
conÞguration settings from this diskette, a message appears
telling you that the system will restart. Remove the diskette
if you do not want to install the system software.
You may want to restore the factory-set defaults if you have changed
some settings that have caused unexpected results. When you
restore default settings, the system automatically resets all settings
except for those that do not have default values, such as:
Language of menus
Clock time
Dialing Directory information
Site and password names
ISDN protocol settings
The default settings for the system are listed in Appendix A.
Some of the menu items toggle between enabling and

disabling the feature. An indicator light that is on means
that the feature is enabled. An indicator light that is off
means that the feature is disabled.
To restore default conÞgurations:
1. From the Save or Restore Settings menu, choose Restore Default
Configuration.
A pop-up window appears with the message
all configuration items to their default values
2. Press ENTER to restore the default settings.
