Setting the Network Name

The
Set Network Name
menus and prompts.
Choose any name of no more than 10 characters and spaces combined as
the network name. This name appears on the menus after you exit
and reenter the menu system.
Setting the Phone Number Prefix
The
Set Phone Number Prefix
number that is dialed before all phone numbers.
For example, if you have a PBX (private branch exchange), you may
have to dial a number before making a call. If you enter that number
as the phone number preÞx, you donÕt have to manually dial it
before each call.

Setting Redial on Line Drop

The
Set Redial on Line Drop
redial when one line of a multiline call is dropped.
If the indicator light is on, it means that the system
automatically redials the phone number if the second line is
dropped. If the system canÕt reconnect the line, you can choose
to redial the line or remain in a one-channel call.
If the indicator light is off, it means that you are prompted to
redial the phone number if the line is dropped.
In most cases, you should keep this feature on.

Enabling Dialed Operation

The
Enable Dialed Operation
option and use V.35 or RS-449 as a direct connect system.

Enabling RS-449 for External Encryption

The
Enable External Encryption
device with the Venue¥2000.
You must inform the system that you are using an external
encryption device. To do this, choose
press
ENTER
