Testing Network Subsystems
If you have multiple network interface boards, you can test all of
them or choose the particular network interface board to test.
Note: This test does not test the transmission of data over the
network. You need to run the loopback tests to isolate
network transmission problems.
To test network subsystems:
1. From the Hardware Module Self-Tests menu, choose Test Network
Subsystems.
A menu similar to the one below appears, depending on what
network interfaces are conÞgured on your system:
2. Choose the network interface you want to test and press ENTER .
Once the diagnostic software is loaded (30 seconds), this test
takes approximately 40 seconds to 1 minute to run.
3. Note the status message when the test completes.
Test results can be either
defective component, call your PictureTel service provider.
