To sound the 1 kHz tone:
1. From the Setup menu, choose Test System.
The System Tests menu appears.
2. From the System Tests menu, choose Run System Exercises.
The System Exercises menu appears.
3. From the System Exercises menu, choose Generate Audio Test
Tone.
While the 1 kHz tone is sounding, adjust the monitorÕs volume
so that the tone is about as loud as you want a strong speaking
voice to be. For example, the tone should be loud enough to be
easily heard at any point in the room, but not so loud as to be
disturbing.

for additional information.
4. Press CANCEL to stop the tone.
