7. Remove the four screws, then remove the rectifier
( A ) a n d f o u r i n s u l a t o r s ( B ) .
Remove the four Ilange nuts, then remove the rear
h o u s i n g ( A ) a n d w a s h e r ( B ) .

9. lf you are not replacing the front bearing and/or
rear bearing, go to step 16. Remove the rolor from
the stator drive end housing.
10. lnspect the rotor shaft for scoring, and inspect the
b e a r i n g j o u r n a l s u r f a c e i n t h e s t a t o r h o u s i n g f o r
seizure marks.
. l f e i t h e r t h e r o t o r o r s t a t o r h o u s i n g i s d a m a g e d .
replace the alternator.
. lf both the rotor and the stator housing are OK,
g o t o s t e p 1 1 .
