DUPLEX UNIT
5. When the trailing edge of the paper exits
from the paper guide, the paper guide drops
to the original position [A] and turns the
paper path sensor [B] off.
6. The controller starts to operate the duplex
motor in reverse. The exit roller [C] turns in
reverse, transporting the paper to the
duplex roller.
7. The paper goes over the paper guide and
reaches the duplex roller [D].
8. The duplex roller transports the paper into
the duplex unit. The paper goes through the
unit.
9. When the leading edge of the paper
reaches the registration sensor [E], the
controller stops the duplex motor. The
duplex roller holds the paper in the duplex
unit.
10. When the OPC drum [F] gets ready for
printing, the controller restarts the duplex
motor. The duplex roller transports the
paper.
11. The duplex roller continues transporting the
paper until the paper reaches the fusing
unit.
12. The hot and pressure rollers transport the
paper to the paper guide.
