Appendix B: Site Requirements
Describes network, power, environmental, and cabling requirements for the system installation.
Overview
To maintain the low noise, low echo features of the system, Avaya recommends the following:
Use T1 or E1 connections from the system to the public network.
l
Use T1 or E1 connections from the system to the PBX.
l
Use T1, ISDN, or fiber optic connections from the PBX to the public network.

Power
The CS700/CS780 Conferencing Server can be configured with up to four power supplies that
work in tandem to provide a total of 450W output with N+1 redundancy.
In a fully configured system 331 Watts is the estimated maximum continuous DC power draw.
The estimated efficiency of the power supply system at 331-Watts draw is 75%. At this
efficiency, 9.2A is tthe estimated current draw at a nominal 48 VDC.
The estimated input current for a fully configured system is 3.8A at 115VAC.
