Installing S6x00 Hardware
Site Requirements
Before beginning installation, verify the information on the Site Survey as described in
1: Getting
Started.
Unpacking
Before beginning installation, identify and inventory all equipment received and verify that all
needed items are available as described in
Tools and Materials
The following tools and materials are required to perform the installation:
Phillips and flat screwdrivers.

ESD wrist strap.
●
Tie wraps and labeler.
●
Crimpers, pliers, RJ45 plugs, and RJ11 plugs.
●
Category 5 or 5E cable.
●
Fixed (socket) or adjustable wrenches.
●
LAN cables.
●
Power cords.
●
Mouse and keyboard cables.
●
Installing the S6200 Application Server
The S6200 Application Server includes slide rails for rack mounting.
The slide rails in this kit come preset to the correct length for installation in an IBM rack cabinet,
and they are adjustable for other rack cabinets.
The slide rails are marked (RIGHT/FRONT and LEFT/FRONT) for proper placement on the
rack-cabinet flanges.
