Critical-No
Occurs when both primary and secondary trunks are out of service. This lights the major

secondary trunk returns to service.
Red (Carrier)
Results when loss of frame synchronization occurs for an extended period and clears when
synchronization is restored for an extended period. A red alarm lights the major LED on the
front panel of the system.
Yellow (Remote
Occurs when the system receives a yellow alarm indication from the network. (This occurs

when the network detects a loss of frame.) The yellow alarm condition clears when the
system does not receive the yellow alarm indication from the network for an extended
period. A yellow alarm lights the major alarm LED on the front panel of the unit.
Blue
Occurs when the system receives an all 1s pattern from the network for an extended
period. The system releases all lines currently seized on the trunk, thus transmitting a
yellow alarm to the network. In addition, any red and yellow alarms set on the trunk clear.
No LED lights for a blue alarm.
Loss of Primary
Occurs when the primary trunk is out of service. The minor alarm LED lights and the alarm
