Description
Specifies how a channel responds to an incoming call:
Immediate (default) — The system seizes back
l
immediately upon incoming line seizure.
Wink — The system winks back to the far end
l
upon incoming line seizure. This setting applies
exclusively to trunks using E&M signaling.
Wink-Wink—(Not supported in this release).
l
Per Channel—Administrators can set different
l
signaling for each channel.
Specifies how a channel responds to an outgoing call:
Delay (default) — The system takes the dial-out
l
channel off-hook and waits before sending the
information (dialing). The destination machine
sees that the line is off-hook for a specified interval
and prepares to receive digits. The dial delay is the
number of milliseconds that the line remains
off-hook before dialing.
Wink — The system prepares for a dial out by
l
taking the channel off-hook and waiting for the far
end to wink back before dialing out. The far end
takes the channel off-hook and then quickly places
it back on-hook in preparation for receiving digits.
When the system detects this "wink," it sends the
digits. A setting of Wink applies exclusively to
trunks using E&M signaling.
Per Channel — Administrators can set different
l
signaling for each channel.
