Responding to Trunk Alarms

Critical and major alarms impact service and require instant attention. Contact Customer
Support immediately in these situations.
The system still functions during minor alarms; however, reporting these conditions to Customer
Support may prevent the development of a more serious problem. Send an alarm report to
Customer Support or have a technician dial into the system to view the situation.
Nonalarmed events require no technical action or result from manually initiated diagnostics.
Consult the alarm report or log file for the details of the event in question and use your own
judgment in contacting Customer Support.

382 Administration and Maintenance of the CS700/CS780 Audio Conferencing Server
Description
Declared for any trunk not installed on the system. This nonalarmed event is classified as
nonservice affecting.
Occurs when an administrator disables a trunk or a trunk has not been configured. A trunk
in this state transmits a blue alarm to the network.
Indicates digital signaling impairment and lights the minor LED only when their occurrences
exceed established thresholds. Minor alarms occur only when the Minor Alarm Contact is
not set for event notification.
The system software tracks several types of nonalarmed events but sends no indication to
the alarm panel. Review the Alarm report and log files to determine the nature of these
events.
