Call Routing Considerations for Operators
Operators have additional considerations when a system uses DNIS/DDI. Be sure operators
are aware of the following effects:
When accessing a DNIS/DDI line from the Enter Queue, use the branded line name to
l
provide a custom greeting and place the caller into the appropriate conference. For
example, if the line name is "Acme Sales," you might say, "Welcome to the ACME Sales
Conference. May I have your name, please?" before placing the line in the ACME
conference.
A line that disconnects while the system is collecting digits does not go into disconnect
l
mode because the call is not "established" until all digits are collected.
Operators can record annunciator messages and can enter text for each message. Please
l
note that messages 179 and above are prerecorded messages for specific functions. For
more information on recording annunciator messages, see the Bridge Talk User's Guide.
Digit Parameters
The Digit Parameter option enables you to specify the number of digits used for Call Routing
entries in the Call Branding table.
To specify the number of digits:
1. Select System Administrator Main > Configurations > Call Routing Configuration >
Digit Parameters.
The system displays the
Digit Parameters
2. Specify the parameters you want. See
parameter descriptions.
3. Save (or cancel) your changes.
