If local logging obstructs normal bridge operation, then remote logging is needed.
Note:
The following events are logged using the Unix syslog facility:
Calls ANI/DNIS
l
All DTMF entered
l
Channels moving to user conferences
l
Announcement segments played to a user
l
Customer disconnects with the reason
l
Toggling mute
l
Performing a dial out operation
l
Commands
l

Configuration

User transaction logging is activated by:
1. Setting the System Configuration screen's Log User Transaction field to ON. Refer to
System Configuration
2. Configuring the system log file, /etc/syslog.conf.
The syslog configuration file manages the destination of syslog output. In the following
example, bold demonstrates settings which configure the syslog to a remote location. The
