Voice Message Configuration

You can configure the system to play a tone, a voice message, or both to notify participants of
conference events, provide instructions for conference functions, and announce how much time
is left in a conference.
Description
The number of seconds (5 to 20) the system scans for
1
additional access code digits after a conferee enters the first
digit. The default is 20 seconds.
Be sure to adjust this parameter to accommodate the longest
access code on your system.
Specifies what happens to lines that remain in the Call
Progress (CLPG) state after a blast dial. (Some lines may
remain in the CLPG state because no one answers the blast
dial, or the conferee fails to enter digits.)
30 to 600 (seconds) — The system automatically
l
hangs up lines remaining in the CLPG state beyond
the specified time. This includes conferees using
rotary phones, who cannot activate the scan timer.
0 (default) — There is no timeout. Lines remain in the
l
CLPG state until an operator accesses the line or
clears or exits Blast Dial, which hangs up all lines in
the CLPG state.
!
CAUTION:
CAUTION:
Specify a timeout value when the Auto Blast
feature is used to ensure that lines are
cleared when operators are not available to
clear the lines.
