Inspect the wiring harnesses between SAS control
module connector terminal 2H and passenger-side front
buckle switch connector terminal E, for the following:
NOTE:
Inspect for continuity while shaking the wiring harness
between the SAS control module and passenger-side
front buckle switch.
Is the wiring harness normal?
INSPECT THE WIRING HARNESS BETWEEN THE SAS CONTROL

MODULE AND PASSENGER-SIDE BUCKLE SWITCH FOR A SHORT
CIRCUIT TO THE POWER SUPPLY
Connect the negative battery cable.
Turn the ignition switch to the ON position with SAS
control module connector and passenger-side front
buckle switch connector disconnected.
Measure the voltage of SAS control module connector
terminals 2H of SAS control module harness side
connector.
NOTE:
Measure the voltage while shaking the wiring harness
between the SAS control module and passenger-side
front buckle switch.
Is the voltage measured?
INSPECT DTCs

Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1
min or more.
Reconnect all disconnected connectors
Connect the negative battery cable.
Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
Clear DTCs using the M-MDS. (See
Perform the DTC inspection for the SAS control module
using the M-MDS. (See
Is DTC B2438, B2439 and/or B2692 displayed again?
Short to body ground
Open circuit
Short circuit between terminals
DTC
DISPLAY.)
CLEARING
DTC.)
YesReplace the wiring harness
between the SAS control
module and the passenger-
side front buckle switch.
No Go to the next step.
YesReplace the SAS control
module.

No DTC troubleshooting
completed.
