STEP
1 INSPECT HAZARD WARNING LIGHT AND
TRUNK LID OPENER OPERATION DURING
ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS
Do all of the following items
work during on-board diagnostic
function operation?
2 INSPECT HAZARD WARNING LIGHT
OPERATION DURING ON-BOARD
DIAGNOSIS
Do the hazard warning lights
flash during on-board diagnostic
function operation?
3 INSPECT HAZARD WARNING LIGHT
CIRCUIT
Do the hazard warning lights
flash when hazard warning
switch is on?
*4 INSPECT IF MALFUNCTION IS IN WIRING
HARNESS (BETWEEN KEYLESS CONTROL
MODULE AND FLASHER CONTROL MODULE)
OR KEYLESS CONTROL MODULE
Measure the voltage at keyless
control module connector
terminal 2I during on-board
diagnostic function operation.
Is the voltage as above?
INSPECTION
Hazard warning
lights flash.
Trunk lid opens.
When hazard
warning lights
flashed:
Alternates
between B+
and below 1.0
V
YesGo to Step 8.
No Go to the next step.
YesGo to Step 5.
No Go to the next step.
YesGo to the next step.
No Inspect the hazard warning light circuit.
YesReinspect the malfunction symptoms, then
repeat from Step 1 if malfunction recurs.
No Inspect the wiring harness
between the keyless control
module and flasher control
module.
ACTION
If the wiring
harness is
normal,
replace the
keyless control
module and
reprogram the
transmitter ID
code, then go
to Step 11.
