2011 - RX-8 - Transmission/Transaxle
STEERING SHIFT SWITCH INSPECTION
1. Remove the engine cover.
2. Remove the battery cover.
3. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
4. Disconnect the audio control switch connector. (See
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
5. Measure resistance between the terminals F and C.
Test condition
Steering shift
switch off
LH up-switch on
RH up-switch on
Resistance
(ohm)
1,764—1,836

AUDIO CONTROL SWITCH
Action
Replace the audio control switch.
(See AUDIO CONTROL SWITCH
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
If not within the specification, replace the
audio control switch.
(See AUDIO CONTROL SWITCH
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
If there is no continuity, replace the up switch.

REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
