Is there any B+?
INSPECT TORQUE SENSOR CIRCUIT FOR SHORT
5 TO GROUND
Inspect for continuity between the
torque sensor terminals and ground.
Is there continuity?
INSPECT TORQUE SENSOR

Turn the ignition switch off.
Disconnect the torque sensor connector.
Measure the resistance between the
torque sensor terminals.
Is the torque sensor normal?
VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED

Make sure to reconnect all disconnected
connectors.
Clear the DTC from the memory.
(See ELECTRIC POWER STEERING (EPS)
ON-BOARD
Turn the ignition switch off.
Start the engine.
Is the same DTC present?
VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE

Are any other DTCs present?
Torque sensor terminal
C—ground
Torque sensor terminal
A—ground
Torque sensor terminal
B—ground
Torque sensor terminal
C—ground
Terminals A—B
Terminals B—C
Resistance: 12—15
ohms
DIAGNOSIS.)
YesRepair or replace the wiring harness for short to
ground between the EPS control module and torque
sensor, then go to the next step.
No Go to the next step.
YesGo to the next step.
No Replace the steering gear and linkage, then go to
Step 7.

YesReplace the EPS control module, then go to the next
step.

No Go to the next step.
