Parameter
device: Name of a device which must be "unit1>flash:" or "flash:" for S3100 series
Ethernet switches.
Description
Use the fixdisk command to restore space on the Flash memory.
In case that space on the Flash memory may become unavailable for reasons such as
abnormal operations, you can run this command to restore the space.
Example
# Restore space on the Flash memory.
<Sysname> fixdisk unit1>flash:
Fixdisk flash: may take some time to complete.
%Fixdisk unit1>flash: completed.

format device

Ethernet switches.
Description
Use the format command to format the Flash memory.
Caution:
The format operation clears all the files on the Flash memory, and the operation is
irretrievable.
