Parameters
interface-type interface-number: Interface type and interface number.
Description
For ICMP tests, use the source-interface command to specify a source interface for
sending ICMP requests. The corresponding IP address of the specified interface is
used as the source IP address of ICMP requests. For DHCP tests, use the
source-interface command to specify an interface for DHCP probes.
For ICMP tests, use the undo source-interface command to remove the specified
source interface, and its corresponding IP address is no longer used as the source IP
address of ICMP requests. For DHCP tests, use the undo source-interface command
to remove the specified interface for DHCP probes.
By default, no source interface is specified for ICMP tests and no interface is configured
for DHCP probes.
Note:
For DHCP tests, this command is required. For ICMP tests, this command is
optional. This command does not apply to other tests.
For a HWPing ICMP test, if no IP address is configured for the source interface
configured through the source-interface command, the test cannot be performed; if
a source IP address has already been configured through the source-ip command,
the source-interface command does not take effect.
The interface to be specified in this command can be only a VLAN interface.
The interface to be specified must be Up; otherwise the test will fail.
Examples
# Configure the source interface that sends test packets in DHCP tests as
Vlan-interface 1.
