DSX-1 (LMX)
DSX-1 cross-connects on the LMX chassis use 80-pin 2mm Hard Metric connectors. Only the
first 28 pairs are used, providing 28 cross-connect positions per DS1 port. With each pair of
redundant MS slots providing up to 28 circuits, the LMX delivers up to 336 DS1 circuits.
The Hard Metric connectors are labeled on the backplane according to the loops they provide:
Connectors for MS 1&2 are labeled
Connectors for MS 3&4 are labeled
Connectors for MS 5&6 are labeled
Connectors for MS 7&8 are labeled
Connectors for MS 9&10 are labeled
