Function
This option specifies how long a flash file is retained on the
SCM after it is retrieved from the server. If a subsequent
request for the same file is made within the Cache Expire
time, the cached copy of the file is used, thus reducing
upgrade time and network traffic.
The valid range of values is 60–1440 minutes (1–24 hours),
with a default of 480 minutes (8 hours).
This option specifies the basepath prefix that precedes all
.auc and module firmware binary (.bin) files, indicating where
they are located on the server. All upgrade files should all be
located in the same directory, so this field applies to all
required files.
The basepath should not contain characters that are
generally considered invalid in a path specification.
This option identifies the .auc file to retrieve from the server.
This option sets the Auto Upgrade operating mode:
Auto: Modules are automatically checked and upgraded on
insertion into the chassis, or after system power-up.
Manual: Modules are checked and upgraded only when
instructed through SNMP or menus.
Disabled: Auto Upgrade is disabled (default).
If this is set to Auto and a manual upgrade is performed, the
upgraded module is immediately up/downgraded to the
firmware version associated with the .auc file. Set Auto
Upgrade Mode to Manual if it is necessary to deviate from the
firmware versions associated with the .auc file.
This option specifies how often a new .auc file should be
retrieved from the TFTP server. With Auto Upgrade Mode set
to Auto, this setting also controls how often Auto Upgrade
evaluations are automatically performed.
The valid range of values is 0–744 hours (31 days), with a
default of 96 (4 days). A value of zero disables Auto Upgrade.
This option sets the number of additional attempts to retrieve
the .auc file or a module firmware file, if there are errors
contacting the TFTP server during the first attempt.
The valid range of values is 0–10, with a default of 3.
