Ethernet Module Provisioning

Each tributary module has its own Provisioning menu tree. This section highlights some of the
items in the Ethernet module menu trees, needed to provision a new module.

Use this Provisioning procedure to provision the following modules:

To provision the ETHM/ETHM2 module, complete the following steps:
1. From the OPTI-6100 Main menu, select

10. To manually provision an individual port's Speed, Duplex, and Crossover settings:

NOTE
If either 100 Mbps or 10 Mbps is specified, the far end of the Ethernet
link must also be configured for the matching Speed and Duplex
settings. Duplex, Speed, and Auto-MDIX/Crossover negotiation are
all automatically disabled if Speed is not set to Auto Negotiate.
