Table C-6. GEFMEH Advanced Provisioning

Description
This displays the VLAN mode menu.
This enables/disables Pause frames on the port when the customer
exceeds the port-based PIR rate.
Pause Frame generation can reduce the loss of packets due to PIR rate
limitations by forcing the port on the far end of the Ethernet link to
throttle its sending frames. The default is enabled.
This specifies a Line Identification associated with the port. This is a
user-defined string, up to 20 characters.
This enables/disables alarm reporting, allowing a service provider to
suppress alarms due to the Ethernet Port Link State being down. The
default is enabled.

Table C-7. VLAN Modes

Description
Transparent Mode supports one-to-one Ethernet-to-VCG mappings.
Double Tag Mode adds a service provider VLAN tag before VCG mapping.
Translation Mode translates VLAN tags to service provider values before
VCG mapping.
