11 Choose the class of wiring to use with the FlexNet FMPS -150W 48 V dc UPS:

12 If used, configure the SLID (DLP 129).
13 Connect the SC/APC fiber optic cable (DLP 125).
14 Verify the ONT LEDs, voltage status, and optical signal levels (DLP 127).
15 Activate and test the services (DLP 128).
16 Reattach the power connector inner cover.
17 Close the fiber connection area TELCO access cover in the ONT unit and secure
using the security wrench.
18 Close the front cover of the outdoor ONT unit and secure using the security
wrench.
19 STOP. This procedure is complete.

If powered by an FlexNet FMPS -150W 48 V dc UPS, see step 11.
If powered by a UPS other than the FlexNet FMPS -150W 48 V dc UPS:
i Install the UPS according to manufacturer specifications (DLP 110).
ii Connect the power and alarm cables (DLP 111).
For class 1 wiring that requires the connection of separate power and alarm
cables to a Phoenix connector, see DLP 114.
For class 2 wiring that requires the connection of a combined power and
alarm cable to a Phoenix connector, see DLP 111.
Warning 1 — When installing or replacing an ONT or LP MDU with the
FMPS 150 W power supply indoors with class 2 type wiring (for example,
CM-type cable) for the power, restrict the power cable to 10 feet (3.05
m) in length and do not run the cabling through walls or plenums.
Warning 2 — When installing the FMPS 150 W power supply indoors
more than 10 ft (3.05 m) from the ONT or LP MDU, follow the
manufacturers installation instructions. For ONTs or LP MDUs installed
outdoors, it is recommended to follow the guidelines in the NEC for a
Class 1 circuit in a wet location. If installed indoors, follow the
guidelines in the NEC for a Class 1 circuit excluding the wet location
requirements.
