Position the replacement B-0404G-B business ONT within the outdoor
enclosure and between the ONT brackets, as shown in Figure
iii
Secure the B-0404G-B business ONT within the ONT brackets by turning
the brackets to the closed position.
Note — Observe the following:
Do not overtighten the ONT bracket when securing the B-0404G-B
business ONT to the outdoor enclosure. The unit can become skewed
and compromise the environmental seal of the ONT mounted in the
outdoor enclosure.
Install the UPS (DLP 110).
Plug the optional 8-pin Molex output power cord in to the ONT power
connector (DLP 115).
Note — A new SLID or the old SLID may be used with the replacement
ONT. If a new SLID is used, the new SLID must also be programmed at
the P-OLT using TL1 or a network manager. If the old SLID is used, no
changes need to be made at the P-OLT; see the 7342 ISAM FTTU
Operations and Maintenance Procedures Guide using TL1 and CLI for
more details.
Danger — Fiber optic cables transmit invisible laser light. To avoid eye
damage or blindness, never look directly into fibers, connectors, or
adapters.
Warning — Be careful to maintain a bend radius of no less than 1.5
inches (3.8 cm) when connecting the fiber optic cable. Too small of a
bend radius in the cable can result in damage to the optic fiber.
