Montype Counter description
FRAMES Count of frames upstream and downstream on the UNI
BYTES Count of bytes upstream and downstream on the UNI
MCFRAMES Count of multicast frames upstream and downstream
DSDRPDFRMS Count of dropped frames downstream. Indicates the
number of frames discarded. Impacts customer service
traffic.
USDRPDFRMS Count of dropped frames upstream. Indicates the
number of frames discarded. Impacts customer service
traffic.
USFRAMES Count of frames upstream on the UNI
DSFRAMES Count of frames downstream on the UNI
USBYTES Count of bytes upstream on the UNI
DSBYTES Count of bytes downstream on the UNI
USMCFRAMES Count of multicast frames upstream on the UNI with the
multicast destination MAC address. Indicates the
number of frames discarded. Impacts customer service
traffic.
DSMCFRAMES Count of multicast frames downstream on the UNI with
the multicast destination MAC address. Indicates the

fixed 48-byte data chunk of the payload at the ONT
PON interface for the specific ONT or service. A
discrepancy between GEM block statistics on the OLT
and ONT may indicate a PON transmission problem.
TXFRAGS Transmitted GEM fragments upstream. This indicates
fragmented or unfragmented GEM frames at the ONT
PON interface for the specific ONT or service.
RXBLOCKS Received GEM blocks downstream. A GEM block is a
fixed 48-byte data chunk of the payload at the ONT
PON interface for the specific ONT or service. A
discrepancy between GEM block statistics on the OLT
and ONT may indicate a PON transmission problem.
RXFRAGS Received GEM fragments downstream.This indicates
fragmented or unfragmented GEM frames at the ONT
PON interface for the specific ONT or service.
LOSTFRAGS Transmitted and received lost GEM fragments
downstream and upstream. May indicate errored
fragments. May impact customer service traffic.
BADGEMHDRS Received malformed GEM fragments downstream by
the ONT. Indicates an issue with the transmission
medium or hardware.
