Procedure
Use this procedure to install an I-211M-K or I-211M-L ONT.
1 Prepare the cables at the site where the ONT will be installed. Also, locate the
power source where the power converter will be installed.
2 Are any of the cables missing?

3 Locate each missing cable and route them to the ONT as per local practices.

NTP 160 — Install an I-211M-K or I-211M-L indoor ONT
Note — Observe the following:
Alcatel-Lucent does not provide the power cable for the I-211M-K
•
and I-211M-L ONT-to-UPS connection. Use a power cable that meets
NEC requirements and local codes when installing the ONT.
The ONT should be installed in accordance with the applicable
•
requirements of the NEC or CEC. Local authorities and practices take
precedent when there is conflict between the local standard and the
NEC or CEC.
The I-211M-L ONT supports connection to a power supply by a
•
separate cable (ordered either with the ONT and power supply unit
or independently). This cable connection can support an maximum
separation between ONT and power supply of 100 feet. The
connectors on the cable must be capable of being field-installed and
use the same connector type at both the ONT and power supply
ends.

Note — Units must be powered by a UL Listed and marked limited
power source power supply with a minimum output rate of 12 V dc, 2.5
A.
If yes, go to step 3.
If no, go to step 4.
