Release 1.0
Restoring EVT Default Logging Configurations
The following no logging evt clear command options restore the EVT default
logging configurations:
Disabling Logging of Specific DOCSIS Error Messages
Occasionally there are situations when a high volume of a particular DOCSIS error
message is being generated and logged. In those cases, it may be desirable to
temporarily disable the logging of these error messages. The following sections
describe how to use the logging disable commands.
Disabling the DOCSIS Ranging CM Retries Message
Use the logging disable cm_ranging_fail_r103_0 command in Global Configuration
mode to disable the logging of extraneous "Unable to Successfully Range CM Retries
Exhausted" DOCSIS error messages. The no logging disable
cm_ranging_fail_r103_0 enables the logging of this error message.
MOT(config) #logging disable cm_ranging_fail_r103_0
Disabling the BPI Authorization Invalid Message
Use the logging disable bpi_auth_invalid_messages command in Global
Configuration mode to disable the logging of extraneous "BPI authorization invalid"
DOCSIS error messages. The no logging disable bpi_auth_invalid_messages
enables the logging of this error message.
MOT(config) #logging disable bpi_auth_invalid_messages
526360-001-00 Rev. B
MOT (config)# no logging evt clear [<slot:group>] [<range>]
This command sequence removes the corresponding "logging evt clear" entry
from the running configuration file and restores the default logging control for the
EVT group.
MOT (config)# no logging evt clear
This command, with no other arguments, removes all "logging evt clear" entries
from the running configuration file and restores default logging controls for all
EVTs modified with the logging evt set command.
