Upgrading BSR System Software
Use the boot-update, update-fpga, and boot system commands, in Privileged EXEC
mode, to upgrade the existing BSR system software (boot ROM, FPGA, and
Application image, respectively) while the BSR is in operation.
Caution: When upgrading and downgrading BSR 2000 boot ROM images
and Application image, ensure that this is done through a console session
only and only during a scheduled maintenance window.
Note: Using the
may result in an audible loss of voice-over-IP data for up to 20 seconds
Updating the Application Image
Use the boot system command to upgrade the application image as follows:

where:

each image file size on the server. To view the new image files in flash memory,
use the dir flash: command in Privileged EXEC mode as shown below:

If the image file byte counts in flash memory match the image file byte counts on
the server, the image files have been copied successfully.
boot-update, update-fpga,
