If a file with the same name already exists in the
specified destination, a confirmation message appears.
Select [Yes] to overwrite the existing data.
Directory Operations
You can create a new directory within the local drive or
removable drive, and carry out other operations, such as
renaming and deleting. You can also inhibit operations on
files, such as saving and deleting, for a directory.
Creating a Directory
You can create up to 120 directories on a removable drive,
or 200 on the local drive or NFS.

Open the File >Configure >Directory menu (7171).

In the device selection area, select the target device for
operation (see page 379).

Press [New].

Enter a name of up to 8 characters in the keyboard
window, and press [Enter].
