Determine whether IIS started.

Click OK.
Click OK again.
Follow the instructions provided by the installation Wizard, and
insert the Windows CD-ROM as prompted.
Close the Add/Remove Programs window, and close the Control
panel window.
Action
Click Start, and open the Control Panel.
Click Administrative Tools.
Click Computer Management.
Expand the Services and Applications node in the MMC and
select Internet Information Services.
Right-click the Internet Information Services and select All
Tasks.
The All Tasks menu appears.
Select Restart.
IIS restarts.
Action
Open Internet Explorer on the PC where IIS is installed.
In the address bar in Internet Explorer, enter localhost/iisstart
.htm.
