5 Operation
5.2.4 Holding Brakes
(1) Wiring Example
Use the SERVOPACK contact output signal /BK and the brake power supply to form a brake ON/OFF circuit.
The following diagram shows a standard wiring example.
The timing can be easily set using the brake signal (/BK).

BK-R Y: Brake control relay
Brake power supply for 90 V Input voltage 200-V models: LPSE-2H01-E
A 24 VDC power supply is not included.
∗ 1 and ∗ 2 are the output terminals allocated with Pn50F.2.
(2) Signal Setting
This output signal controls the brake and is used only for a servomotor with a brake. The output signal must be
allocated with Pn50F. Refer to (3) Brake Signals (/BK) Allocation for allocation.
The /BK signal turns OFF when an alarm is detected or the /S-ON signal is turned OFF. The brake OFF timing
can be adjusted with Pn506.
