Command transfer
The basic procedure used to initially operate the Unit is outlined below. Refer to
applicable sections of the manual for details on each of these steps.
Procedure
Start
Origin, origin proximity, CW/CCW
limits, emergency stop, external in-
terrupt
Follow motor and driver and instruction
manuals for wiring details
Check the wiring by performing basic
operations such as jogging, origin
search, and so on, at low speed.
Create the following data in the CPU
Unit's DM area or use NC Support
Tool to create it in personal computer
memory.
• Positioning actions
• Parameters
• Acceleration/deceleration patterns
• Speeds
• Dwell timer data
Use the Intelligent I/O Write instruction
in the CPU Unit's program to transfer
the above DM area data to the PCU, or
use NC Support Tool to transfer the
data from the personal computer.
Writes the above data to the EEPROM
of the Position Control Unit using the
EEPROM command or NC Support
Tool.
• ORIGIN SEARCH
• START, etc.
Set the commands in the CPU Unit's
IR area.
Use the Intelligent I/O Write instruc-
tion in the CPU Unit's program to
transfer the above DM area data to
the PCU
