The RESET PRESENT POSITION command is set in bit 08 of word m+1/m+5
(X/Y axis).
• When bit 08 of word m+1 is turned ON (↑), the present position is changed to
the value that was previously set in the parameters.
• When RESET PRESENT POSITION is executed before an origin search, the
No-origin Flag (word s+0/s+8, bit 06) in the Status Area turns OFF.
The following timing chart illustrates the execution of a RESET PRESENT

This section explains the TEACH command. When the origin and present posi-
tion are defined (i.e., when the No-origin Flag is OFF), you can use TEACH to
write the present position to the positioning action corresponding to the teaching
positioning action address in bits 11 to 00 of words m+3 (X axis) and m+7 (Y
axis). Setting the positioning action address and turning ON the TEACH com-
mand bit (bit 09 of word m+1 for the X axis, bit 09 of word m+5 for the Y axis)
writes the present position as the target position for the designated positioning
action. Data are set as absolute positions rather than increments.
Although the operation is explained here in terms of the X axis, the procedures
are the same for the Y axis of the NC211.
