Basic Procedures
Trial Operation

Note The explanations in this section use the X axis of the NC211 as an example. Use
the same settings and procedures for the Y axis.
Use the trial operation outlined here to check the origin search and jogging op-
erations, as well as the external input wiring.
1. Set the data for the origin search and jogging operations. Use NC Support
Tool to prepare the data, and then transfer it to the Position Control Unit.

pare and transfer data.
2. Check the external input wiring by putting the Programmable Controller in
Program Mode and monitoring the allocated input bits while the external in-
put switch is operated.

3. Execute the ORIGIN SEARCH and JOGGING commands by putting the
Programmable Controller in Program Mode and operating the allocated out-
put bit from the Programming Console.

Note While performing the above operations, check to be sure that there are no prob-
lems with the initial data for settings such as pulse output selection, CW/CCW
limits, and so on. If it becomes necessary to change any of the initial data, use
the NC Support Tool to make the changes and transfer the new data to the Posi-
tion Control Unit.
