Saving Data
Data written by WRIT
Data written by personal computer
The Position Control Unit uses EEPROM for saving data. All data written to the
internal RAM is erased when the power is turned off. If any of that data needs to
be saved, it must be written to EEPROM before the power is turned off.
The data saved to EEPROM is automatically read to internal addresses when
the Position Control Unit is powered up.
Internal RAM
• Writing to EEPROM
To write data from internal RAM to EEPROM, execute the EEPROM WRITE
command.
• Reading from EEPROM
The data saved in EEPROM is automatically read to internal RAM when the
power is turned on. To read data to internal RAM from EEPROM at other times,
execute the EEPROM READ command.
Note If the pulse rate has been changed:
• When reading data from EEPROM, an error will be generated (error code
9200) if values changed to pulses fall outside of the setting range.
• An error will not be generated when writing to EEPROM.
