Crankcase assembly: external components
Refill the cooling system
Refit the gearchange control
Refit the clutch control piston
Refit the sprocket cover
Refill the system with engine oil

Removal of the starter motor idler gear

Operations
Drain the engine oil
Remove the front sprocket cover
Remove the clutch pushrod
Remove the gearchange control
Empty the coolant out of the
cooling system
Remove the pump-cylinder hoses
Remove the water pump-LH water
radiator hose
Remove the generator cover and
flywheel-generator assembly
Slide the gear pin (21) complete with the gear (19) and washer (20).
Warning
Pay attention to the washer (20) since it may fall inside the crankcase half.
At this point, it is possible to remove the starter motor as described in Sect. 6 - 3,
Refitting the starter motor gear
