6.6 ADJUSTING PITCH OFFSET (Cont'd)
6.6.3 To adjust the Pitch Offset from the Adjustment mode
When the printer is Offline, pressing both the FUNCTION and

POSITION screen is displayed.

save the setting and proceed to the next Adjustment screen.
Adjusts the print position or reference point where the printings begins verti-
cally, relative to the leading edge of each media.
Setting value is adjustable by 0.01" (0.25 mm) regardless of print resolution.
Setting range is ± 0.15" (3.75 mm) and the initial value is +0.00" (0.00 mm).

6.7 ADJUSTING CUT OFFSET

This setting adjusts the stop position for cutting after a print out.
There are three ways to adjust the Cut offset and are explained as follow.
6.7.1 To adjust the Cut Offset with the potentiometer
Required tool: Use Micro driver (small yellow screwdriver) for turning the potentiometer
Remove the side panel to reveal the Main PCB (CONT) of the printer. Refer

to steps 2 and 3 of Section 6.2 Checking the Direct-Current Power Sup-
ply for details.
Enter to MAINTENANCE MODE, select SERVICE MODE and then press

FEED button. Refer to Section 4.14 Maintenance Mode for more details.
Press the
arrow buttons to select SETTING on the SERVICE MODE

screen, and press the FEED button. The OFFSET VOLUME screen
appears.
The values set by the potentiometers (VRs) on the main PCB are shown on
the OFFSET VOLUME screen. OFFSET indicates the value for cut position
adjustment.
Use the microdriver to turn the potentiometer, VR3 (OFFSET) , located on

the Main PCB (CONT) , to the right or left to adjust the value, and then press
the FEED button to save the value.
The adjustment range is ±3.75mm and each turn of the potentiometer
changes the value by 0.01 in. / 0.25mm .
Turning clockwise (+ positive value) causes the cut position moves backward
against paper feed direction.
Turning counter-clockwise (- negative value) causes the cut position moves
forward against the paper feed direction.
