7.17 REPLACING I-MARK/ EDGE SENSOR (cont'd)
To replace I-Mark/ Edge sensor (lower) board
Detach the Upper Edge sensor assembly (2) as described above.

Detach the Print Head assembly based on step 3 of Section 7.16 Replacing Gap Sensor .

Detach the Cutter unit .

Unscrew the shaft that holds the cutter unit in place, removed the shaft and set aside. Carefully lift and
pull out the cutter unit . Refer to step 1 of Section 6.10.1 To adjust Gap/ Center hole sensor .
On the top of Media route frame assembly , remove the a small screw (7) securing the Lower I-Mark/

Edge sensor assembly (8) underneath the frame.
Carefully disconnect the wiring harness of the Lower I-Mark/ Edge sensor assembly (8).

Remove the tight screw (9) securing the Lower I-Mark/ Edge sensor board (10) and replace the defec-

tive Lower I-Mark/ Edge sensor board (10) from the Sensor cover (IM) (11).
Reverse the above procedures for reassembly.

Insert the wiring harness firmly and arrange the wiring harnesses to ensure that they are not interfere
with the sliding motion of Gap/Center hole sensor and are not pinched during installation.
After replacement, adjust the I-Mark sensor condition based on Section 6.9.1 I-Mark Sensor Sensitivity

Adjustment and adjust the Edge sensor condition based on Section 6.9.4 Edge Sensor Sensitivity
