7.11 REPLACING MAIN (CONT) PCB AND CALENDAR IC (cont'd)
If you need to install or replace the Calendar IC (10), remove the defect Calendar IC from the IC socket

and carefully install the Calendar IC onto the IC socket . Make sure the dimple mark of Calendar IC and
the notch of the socket are facing the same direction as shown below.
Reverse the above procedures for reassembly. Arrange all the wiring harnesses to ensure that they are not

pinched during installation.
Note:
Each of the wiring harness connectors are different from all others to ensure proper matching.
After replacement of the Main PCB, perform the following adjustment procedures.

Refer to the Adjustment Procedures section of this manual for the procedures listed below.
1. All clear function
Refer to Section 6.3 Counter Clear Mode .
2. Checking ribbon end
Refer to Section 6.11.1 To check Ribbon End .
3. Head open sensor setting
Refer to Section 6.11.2 To check Head Open sensor and Lid Latch Sensor .
4. Adjustment of sensor level
Refer to Section 6.9 Adjusting and Checking Sensors .
5. Adjustment of print darkness
Refer to Section 6.12 Adjusting Print Darkness .
6. Offset setting
Refer to Section 6.14 Adjusting Factory Offset .
7. Adjustment of pitch
Refer to Section 6.6 Adjusting Pitch Offset .
8. Adjustment of cutting position
Refer to Section 6.7 Adjusting Cut Offset and Section 6.10 Adjusting Cutter Sensors .
If the Calendar IC is installed, set the desired time and date in ADVANCE mode as describe in Section
6.15 Calendar Setting .
